When exploring the resources in the media library, you may notice videos that are called evidence-based takes (or EBTs). These cover a wide variety of topics including pregnancy and type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes remission, vaccinations and diabetes, diabetes and immunity, among others.
An EBT is a short snippet from a conversation with a diabetes content expert This can include someone who:
- Works with people living with diabetes (i.e., a nurse, dietitian, social worker, endocrinologist, or diabetes specialist)
- Does research in a certain area of diabetes
- Has a good understanding of the best evidence on a diabetes-related topic
The conversation with a diabetes content expert focuses on questions that people with diabetes commonly ask healthcare professionals and researchers. This expert bases their answers on the best-quality evidence.
Like other types of short-form content, these videos are all short, making it easier than ever to watch a clip for information that you can take away from the conversation and apply to your daily life.
