Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle are 3 key “Rs” of environmental protection. We are interested in understanding impressions of reuse and recycling possibilities for insulin pens.
A preserved environment is beneficial for everyone’s health. Importantly, around 5% of the global Canadian carbon emissions are connected to health care activities. It may be possible to decrease this impact by decreasing waste related to health care supplies.
At the University of Ottawa, we are interested in understanding impressions around opportunities to reduce waste related to insulin pens while maintaining excellent diabetes care.
To help us understand this we are asking people living with diabetes and their family members to complete a short survey focused on reusable versus disposable insulin pens.
Responses to this survey will guide future work on different approaches to diabetes care. All collected data will be securely stored at the University of Ottawa and will remain anonymous unless you request further contact.
We would appreciate it if you can please complete this short, 5-minute survey.
Thank you for your time and feedback!
